Kristen Eve Gardner, MPH is a passionate public health professional focusing on mental health access, advocacy, and advancement. Since graduating from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health in 2017, Kristen has held positions of increasing responsibility in program development and management. While at the REACH Institute (2017-2023), Kristen led the expansion of REACH's program offerings in content and modality. Kristen revamped and expanded three previously underserved programs with great potential, developed and launched a groundbreaking program series tapping REACH's unique expertise, and led REACH's adoption of wide-ranging virtual platforms and opportunities. While at REACH, Kristen gained expertise in continuing education and workforce development while amassing knowledge of mental health treatment protocols typically reserved for advanced providers and research scientists. After almost six years with the non-profit, Kristen opted to take time away from traditional full-time employment to expand on skills she began to develop in service of her program development work. Through this work, Kristen tapped into her creative side, finding both joy and direction in advancing her design and content repertoire. Having polished these skills to match those areas in which she was formally trained through her public health and cognitive neuroscience education, Kristen now offers the full spectrum of program-related capabilities to individuals and companies freelance through her company, Kristen Gardner Mental Health Innovations.
